Challenge
Bank Rakyat Indonesia still deployed applications manually, region by region. The process was costly and consumed a great deal of valuable time.
Shared office assets such as printers also often failed and could not be used, which held up work. On top of that, assets could not be tracked, and unauthorized applications on the bank's devices could not be blocked.
Solution
Kaseya VSA delivered what Bank Rakyat Indonesia needed. VSA is designed as a remote management and monitoring solution that handles remote deployment, application blocking, and asset tracking and management.
Many more features are available, such as patch management, data protection, backup, and recovery of lost data. After adopting Kaseya VSA, Bank Rakyat Indonesia started using features beyond its original requirements.
Results
- Support for the Efficiency Movement program: VSA's remote control feature supports an energy efficiency initiative to reduce electricity use in the workplace. Kaseya VSA makes sure every managed laptop and PC is switched off after working hours, with a very significant impact on the program.
- Security awareness in every branch: device wallpapers across all branches were changed to raise employee awareness of ransomware and of what to avoid to reduce the risk of an attack.
- An internal information channel: other divisions realized they could use this feature to share information too.
Bank Rakyat Indonesia shows that Kaseya VSA not only makes operations more efficient but also supports many other programs across a company.
